When I was a teenager and just finding my feet I used to go drinking, and clubbing in Cardiff and afterwards go for a steak. My favourite haunts were the Taurus in the centre of town, and the Corfu by Night in Canton. Sadly both disappeared which left me desperate to find somewhere to eat a decent steak. I couldn't find anywhere except maybe one or two pubs that had a few steaks on there menu, but they didn't appreciate the care that a steak needs. After working in the catering industry the past 25 years I always promised my self either to find a quality steakhouse in Cardiff or to open a Steak House myself, and that’s how Sizzle and Grill began.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE FOOD Finding quality meat was my first task so I travelled the UK looking for a great steak, and discovered that beef from traditional breeds reared in the old fashioned way here in Wales, and cooked simply over achar grill packed more flavour than anything else on my travels.
